5th Grade Christmas Concert

Meagan had her Christmas concert at school yesterday.  The fifth graders have been learning to play the recorder and Meagan has been so excited.  She enjoys singing and dancing and music.  She seems to be starting to get over her shyness to get on stage as well.  I am really hoping that this trend continues because it's something that she loves.

And now, for the songs.  I may have missed a few seconds at the beginning of some, but you get the idea.

Sorry the videos aren't better - they were taken with an iPhone.  We're proud of our little girl and her love for life and music.  We hope it continues...

Trunk-or-Treat

Sorry that this post is so late.  I've been somewhat occupied.  These are the pictures from the trunk-or-treat that we had at the Church on Halloween.  There was 1 less ward there this year because we built a new building so the parking lot wasn't completely jam-packed with cars/people, but because of it, there were fewer trunks to treat and less opportunity for dazzling decorations.  Oh well...

For this year, Meagan decided to be a vampire queen.  No, her name is not Bella, although we were close to putting glitter on her so people would be able to figure out she was a vampiress.  Jacob, on the other hand, decided to go with a tried and true costume - Mario.  In case you wondered, yes, we found a Luigi there for him to hang out with.  I, unfortunately, did not get a picture.  Our friends, the Robinsons, dressed up as robots.  Domo arigato...

The guy in the middle of the picture giving me the thumbs up is Austin Cope.  I home teach him.   And, yes, that is Michael Jackson's Thriller jacket.  Had to take a photo...

The Stake Primary presidency put on some party games like ring and bean bag toss.  Here's Meagan tossing rings for candy.  Meagan will do almost anything for candy... :)  Jacob's worse though...

Here's Jacob bowling.  Yes, the pins are already down.  Don't ask.

And finally, another ring toss.  My son is highly skilled.  He can drop a ring directly on that hat from this distance... :)

It was a good time and good to see so many people.
